This coastal area is called Orihuela Costa and is a part of the municipality of Orihuela. 
The coastline of Orihuela-Costa extends over a length of 16 km and is bordered to the north by the Spanish port of
 and in the south of the autonomous region of Murcia. 
In Orihuela-Costa are 57 residential areas, 4 golf courses and two marinas.

Orihuela-Costa is internationally known for his playas with beautiful white sand beaches and clear waters,
 (Calas) and alternating by high cliffs (acantilados). 

Several beaches in 
Orihuela Costa have been awarded with the Blue Flag.
Orihuela Costa has a pleasant climate with an average temperature of 20º C and 300 days of sunshine per year.

North of Orihuela-Costa are the Salinas of Torrevieja and La Mata. 
This is a protected nature reserve where flamingos can be seen in the wild.

Between the urbanisations of Orihuela Costa are four 18-hole golf courses with 72 holes in total and an area
of 1.7 million sqm. In this internationally recognized golf courses, important European golf tournaments regularly take place.

These four courses are successively:

  • Campo de Golf Villamartín.
  • Campo de Golf Las Ramblas de Orihuela.
  • Real Club de Golf Campoamor.
  • Las Colinas Golf.

In Orihuela-Costa there are two marinas, namely:

  • Cabo Roig, located in urbanization Cabo Roig
  • Campoamor, located in urbanization Dehesa de Campoamor

Both marinas are of large size and a large number of berths.
